I went for a smear
It was nothing like I’d feared
The nurse said please
Lie down this way
I’m not interested in your vajayjay
I’m just checking you so this day
We know you are going to be around for a while
So that made me smile
I thought of all the people
That would be the first to share
Their condolences
If I wasn’t there and then
How they would take the news
It was maybe that I didn’t choose
To take the step

Leaving I smiled at a lady
Who might be next on the couch
I couldn’t vouch
For whether that was true
I sort of hoped so
Nothing weird, you know
It’s just that it’s not a way
That anyone should go.
